LA ADOLESCENCIA

ADOLESCENCE DEVELOPMENT
Adolescence represents an imortant period in the growth and the development of a person. It is the stage of uor life that goes between the end of childhood and the cessation of groeth. It usually takes us from dependence on our parents or relatives to a reasonable independence from them. The period goes from 11 to 19 years of ege, aproximately. Adolescents experience many  physical, psichological and social changes.
PHYSICAL CHANGES
These hormones favor the development of ovaries and testes ans the presence of secondary sex characteristics. Hormones stimulante oil and sweat glands.
They also stimulate the adilecent´s interest in the opposite sex and make them aware of their own sexuality.
A teenager´s sexuality is a sensitive and a serious subjet. Adolescent should be proud of their body and welcome ist changes with a new appreciation of  their individuality.

IN THE GIRLS
1. The breast and nipples stars growing and the  body develops more curves.
2. Hair grows in the pubic area and under the arms (armpit). This hair is thick, dark and coarse.
3. Menstruation begins
4. these signs of puberty usually appear at about twelve or thirteen in girls.
IN THE BOYS:
1. The genitals increase in size and the voice gradually becomes deeper.
2. Hair grows on the face and chest, under the armas, and in the pubic region.
3. The first ejaculation is experienced.
4. These sings of puberty usually appear about fourteen in boys.
PSYCHOLOGICAL AND SOCIAL CHANGES
Adolescence, for both, the boys and the girls, is a struggle for identity. boys and girls vascillate between being children and being adults.
They try to find a meaning and purpose to their existence. They begin trying many news things to learn about their talents and interests.
All adolescent experience physiological, psychological and social changes and try to adjust to them. Some of these changes are related to levels of homones in the body. Suddens variations in certain hormones can cause feelings of anxiety, irritability, reslessness, or lack of motivation. At times they might feel very happy or sad not know why.
Adolescents are rebellious against family requirements and prohibitions. They demand independence from adults and parents. They feel insecure of their ability to do what society now expects from them This insecurity is usually accompanied byemotional instability, and a tendency towards instrospection.
They are inclined to be narcissistic, to go to extremes in fashions and attitudes in order to be important.
Social changes are deeply connected with psychological ones. Adolescents live an intense need to belong to a group, to create strong ties with peer groups. They have a feeling of strong loyalty and devotion to their group.
They are confused or worried adout their masculine or feminine roles. The girls wats to actin a socially accepted feminine manner, just as the boy wants to act like a man.
They take a new interest in social activities, nd in the other sex. This interest can be romantic or can be a string friendschip in which  a girl and a boy spend a lot of time together share tasks and secrets and learn about the apposite sex with trust and respect.
A teenager´s sexuality is a sesitive and serious subject. It includes gender and, maybe the desire to explore sexual relationschips, but it goes beyond that. It includes being comfortable with their physical appearance as a man or a woman, with the emotional aspects (feeling comfortabl, well and adequate) of each gender and, finally, with the social aspects relared  with the place of  mwn a women in society.
All the physical, psicological, nd social aspects of adolescence have only one primary purpose and that is to HELP THE ADOLOSCENT REACH MATURITY.
